Subaru Conversion Coolant Pipe & Perimeter Pipe Combo PackGive your conversion reliability with this genuine Burley Motorsports stainless steel, mandrel-bent coolant pipe AND stainless steel, mandrel-bent perimeter pipe, both made for Subaru EJ22 and EJ25 single cam engines being installed in 1986 and later Vanagons. Installation on 83.5 to 85 2WD vans that came with the 1.9 liter engine require the OEM 1.250” diameter lateral cooling pipes be trimmed back as they are too long. Many people choose to take this opportunity to upgrade their cooling pipes to the 1986 later 1.50 ” diameter stainless lateral pipes that we sell: 2WD Cooant Pipe Kit. The coolant pipe comes with a 1/8″ NPT bung for a bleeder valve (not included) and routes from the Subaru engine thermostat housing, up and over the right cylinder head to provide more ground clearance, then routes nicely down to the 2wd Vanagon or Syncro coolant pipe that comes from the radiator.The perimeter pipe eliminates the need for a reverse coolant manifold. Uses Gates hose #22495 between perimeter pipe end and stock coolant manifold. Trim this to fit as necessary (see gallery pics.)In addition, we offer the 5/8” brass T-fitting (#5 on the diagram) and the 1 x 5/8” adapter (#6 on the diagram) as an additional option with this product.
